“After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews?”
Matthew 2:2

What are you looking for this Christmas? Is it the latest appliance on the market, or someone’s hand to hold under the mistletoe? What is it everyone is searching for especially this time of year to satisfy those empty desires?

“…they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was.”
Matthew 2:9

This Christmas maybe we can look to the magi as examples. With no question or doubt they traveled from afar to see the newly born baby Jesus; the savior who had come.

“When they saw the star, they were overjoyed…
and they bowed down and worshiped him.”
Matthew 2:10-11

Whatever you are searching for this Christmas isn’t going to satisfy your deep longing. The magi knew for they were overjoyed with worship. Only Christ who created you, and came down to save you, can truly satisfy the human heart. This Christmas, do as the magi, and seek for Him.
